Dear Friends of Kenya Works,
In the heart of Maasai country, something powerful is happening. A group of women has come together, not waiting for change to come to them but creating it themselves. There is strength in a woman who refuses to stand alone, and even greater strength when women stand together.
When women believe in themselves, they unlock a powerful force for change. In Maasai communities, this strength is key in redefining traditional gender roles, challenging male chauvinism, and inspiring men to stand alongside women as supporters and partners in empowerment.
Through shared resources, mutual support, and unshakeable determination, these Maasai women are building better futures for their families and their community. Kenya Works believes that women leading change is not just possible it is essential. And this group is proof that lasting change begins from the ground up.
This is their story. This is the strength of women.
